Bethanie Home

What an enjoyable morning we had singing Christmas carols for the residents at Bethanie Home! Hopefully you were able to practice some French, and bring a smile to a person today. Please use this online forum to share your comments and observations about our outing.
Looking forward to volunteering and visiting our new friends at Bethanie again soon!
Thanks,
JoAnne

It was so awesome to speak to older Swiss people that didn't speak English...so we actually had to try to speak French! Singing Christmas carols together was a highlight as well!

I second that... practicing (slash bs-ing) my french was fun. Initial awkwardness is overrated.

Thanks, JoAnne, for coordinating this! It was really fun to see their faces as we sang songs. And I loved getting to talk with Clarisse en francais! Even though I was a bit tongue-tied when we sat down to talk with her, it was so worth it. I'm really looking forward to spending more time there next semester.
